Eurocell Building Plastics’ Alfreton branch has made it even easier for customers to find the products they need by undergoing a major trade counter refurbishment.

Improving shopability was a priority and resulted in a complete re-design of the sales area. The new look trade counter now has an open plan format, with products displayed on all walls, allowing customers to have direct access to the merchandise.

Previously, products such as hand tools, silicones and health & safety equipment had been displayed behind the counter and therefore had to be viewed by request. Having products displayed in the sales area has already proved highly popular with customers at Eurocell’s Redditch and Mansfield branches.

Fraser Watt, Regional Manager Midlands, explains: “We have had a tremendous response from customers to this open plan model used in other branches as it creates a much more shopable environment. It also lets customers browse in their own time, which means they can find exactly the right product.”

Making the trade counter open plan has allowed more products to be put on display including Eurocell’s range of composite entrance doors – The Dales Collection, which can be supplied as a doorset to all 95 plus Eurocell branches nationwide within 10 working days.

Displayed within Alfreton’s new trade counter area is a sample of Eurocell’s IQ750 modular conservatory roof, showing how it can create a practical, easy to install and cost effective solution for customers.

Helping builders and installers gain add-on sales is a focus of the new trade counter, which includes displays of air conditioning units, underfloor heating along with slimline and plasma heaters, plus all the essential show boards and literature.

Backing up Alfreton’s new trade counter is market leading customer service and consistent quality assurance across all of its 3,800 plus products, many of which are stocked at the branch.
