Eurocell Building Plastics has launched Roomline, an advanced new skirting and architrave system made from recycled PVC-U.

Roomline has been specially designed for hassle-free, fast fitting with ultra-low maintenance – a giant step forward for installers, DIY’ers and homeowners.

The system creates a perfect finish every time by avoiding the time-consuming process of having to sand and paint timber or MDF alternatives.  A series of clever joints and trims simply slot together to form perfect 90 degree angles for architraves and skirting - minimising the tricky and laborious task of mitring corners.

Once installed, Roomline provides a durable and scratch resistant surface that solves the age-old tedium of having to carry out regular maintenance and re-painting on timber or MDF room trims.

That means an end to continually having to repair bumps and knocks or the impossible task of painting over knots in the timber that have begun to ‘weep’ and form discolorations on the paint surface. All that is needed with Roomline is a wipe over with a damp cloth to restore its pristine appearance.

Roomline can be fixed in up to half the time of traditional skirting or architrave using everyday contact adhesives – drilling or screwing is no longer needed. A PVC-U gasket improves air tightness and reduces uncomfortable draughts for homeowners, whilst the space behind the gasket can be used as a neat cable tidy solution for low-voltages cables.

The easy to fit design of Roomline means that specialist trades are not required during installation, which will prove a huge advantage to trade customers on social housing refurbishment programmes, domestic house extensions or installing one of the 180,000 forecasted new conservatories in the UK.

Roomline is offered in traditional White Satin, English Oak, Golden Oak and Rosewood finishes. The 100mm high Taurus style board is made from recycled PVC-U, making it equal to timber in terms of sustainability.
