New Eurocell Profiles offer all–round benefits
Eurocell has launched an innovative new version of its acclaimed Eurologik profile system. Offering significantly improved airtightness and weathering performance, the profiles have a new gasket system for superior adhesion and faster, easier fabrication.
The Post Co-Extruded (PCE) gasket is manufactured from a specially developed compound and features a two-leg profile connection system and one-way support arm, which provides excellent adhesion to the main profiles.
The new flex is designed to work on a wide compression tolerance band, giving a tight seal regardless of glass and hardware choice. This means fabricators have the freedom to choose the hardware they need to be competitive in the marketplace, without compromising the overall performance of their windows. Having the gasket bonded onto the profile also means it will not move, especially in corners, which are most vulnerable to shrinking.
Supplying gaskets pre-fitted to the new Eurologik profiles saves a huge amount of time for fabricators. Trials have indicated that this can be as much as ten minutes per frame, which can soon make a huge difference to productivity and therefore costs.
The new Eurologik profile’s gasket compound provides a consistently high quality surface finish, which is vitally important for adhesion performance and to minimise air and water ingress. When independently tested to BS6375 for air, water and wind-loading, Eurocell’s new profile demonstrated exceptional performance.
For example, when tested to 600pa class 4 for air permeability, the highest criterion available, a Eurologik window exceeds the standard required by 20 times. This market leading performance helps improve energy efficiency and the overall energy rating of the window.
Martin Saunders, Sales Director at Eurocell, explains: “The combined benefits of our new Eurologik profile will enable Eurocell fabricators to improve their manufacturing efficiency whilst their customers will benefit from improved weathertightness, thermal performance and ultimately more efficient and comfortable homes.”
