New Year New Colours

Some of you will have already seen our new colours – Irish Oak and White Ash – launched at the end of last year. The new colours are available for Eurologik Ovolo and Vertical Sliding Sash systems:

Irish Oak

Irish Oak is offered with its own unique colour matched profile, so your customers are assured of the best possible aesthetics at all times, even when windows are open! The colour matched profile also avoids penning of the corners once they are corner cleaned.

White Ash

Customers who like the look of white painted timber windows, but want all the benefits of low maintenance, thermally efficient PVC-U, will be delighted with the new White Ash colour.

The new colour is foiled on both faces of our Eurologik Ovolo profile system, which creates a more authentic, traditional appearance – and Eurocell is one of only a few companies to offer this as standard.

New Vertical Slider Features

Our vertical sliding sash window system has undergone a makeover to coincide with the launch of the brand new Irish Oak foil finish.

The exciting design improvements focus on the Georgian glazing bars, which now feature pre-moulded end caps and cruciforms. This avoids the need to end mill the bar when fitting, creating a neater, easier finish to glazing bar ends and crossing points.

Improvements to this stunning window don’t stop there and include a new:

•    Georgian bar crucifix moulding – again no requirement to end mill the bar

•    Ovolo Cill, an improvement to the existing product to match the Ovolo sash and frame

•    Ovolo crash stop – new product to continue the Ovolo theme throughout the window, creating a window with even greater perceived value.

•    Ovolo crash stop end cap moulding – again, a new product to continue the Ovolo theme throughout the window

•    Security Bar end cap moulding – Avoids the need to end mill the security bar

Gable Frame Platform Introduced

• Colours: White, Brown and Caramel

Gable roof designs now benefit from the inclusion of a ring beam and gutter under the gable window frame, also removing the need for extra downpipes. This makes installation easier and improves the overall appearance of the conservatory. The gable platform is a powder coated aluminium extrusion.

Gable End Infill Panel Introduced

• Length: 580mm x 150mm
• Colours: White, Rosewood and Golden Oak

A new 70mm wedge block has been added to the product range to improve the appearance of a conservatory with gable window frames. The 70mm composite block is made up of chipboard, MDF and polystyrene with a 1.5mm PVC-U skin in either white, Rosewood or Golden Oak. These can be cut to suit any roof pitch from 15 – 30 degrees. This product fills the triangular gap that remains when fitting gable window frames.

PVC-U Thermal Inserts for Ultimate 70

Product code: EWS834P

Our innovative range of PVC-U Thermal Inserts has now been extended, allowing fabricators to use them with Ultimate 70 sashes. This follows from the success of the range with Eurologik profiles since launch.

At a glance, benefits of PVC-U Thermal Inserts include:

•    Considerable improvement in thermal performance over unreinforced profiles, giving an Energy Index improvement of up to six points.

•    Eliminates the need for expensive glass specifications. This is done by subdividing the profile, creating multiple chambers, significantly reducing convection currents in the profile to provide greater thermal efficiency.

•    Extruded in specially formulated ORM- PVC-U, they can be cut and welded during the normal production of the window, therefore eliminating the need for the additional step of cutting and fitting steel in the production process.

•    Adds structural rigidity and ensures a much more efficient and therefore lower cost fabrication process.

•    Proven performance and fully tested, culminating in a UKAS test to BS6375 by the BBA.

•    Extremely good screw retention as shown in comprehensive tests with SFS that covers unreinforced, PVC-U Thermal Inserts and steel reinforcements.
