Eurocell offers one-stop-shop for Nationwide
Nationwide Windows, a Eurocell fabricator based in Rugby, recently won a major Decent Homes contract with St Ledger Homes in Doncaster to install windows and roofline using Eurocell as the complete one-stop-shop partner.
Nationwide is fabricating and installing the windows using Eurocell Eurologik profiles, whilst, at the same time, refurbishing roofs on the properties using products sourced from its local Eurocell depot in Doncaster. Taking advantage of Eurocell’s one-stop-shop service is saving a huge amount of time for Nationwide as well as providing a perfect colour match between the windows and roofline.
Graham Wiseman, Sales Manager at Nationwide Windows, explains: “Having a completely reliable supplier like Eurocell that could offer both window profiles and roofline is vital on this project. The depots are highly responsive to any items we need on site and the client prefers the quality and performance of the Eurocell profiles used to fabricate the windows. The one-stop-shop offered by Eurocell has proved a definite advantage, meaning we can meet our targets for completions and service levels.”
The project involves the refurbishment of over 350 homes in the Doncaster area, all of which will be receiving new windows and roofline.
Eurocell is preferred by many fabricators and contractors who deal with the public sector because the company supplies windows, doors, conservatories and roofline. Having the back up of a UK wide network of fabricators, along with a Eurocell depot in most major towns and cities, literally takes all the hassle out of shopping for building plastics! Refurbishment of the roof involves replacement of the soffits, fascia, vents and guttering on the properties. Eurologik windows are replacing existing timber frames.
A key performance measure set by St Ledger Homes on this site was that replacing windows in each property should be done within the day, on a one window out, one window in policy. This was considered to be an important factor in reducing disruption for residents, who remained in their properties during refurbishments. Nationwide Windows has gained a strong track record of providing these levels of service which means that they have been used by St ledger Homes on many of its other Decent Homes programmes. Proximity to the local Eurocell depot in Doncaster was a vital part of helping Nationwide meet the demanding schedule on this project. The depot is based just 15 minutes from the main housing development, with deliveries to Nationwide contractors on site being made once a week.
Nationwide has highly specialised systems able to cope with the demands of supplying contractors, local authorities and housing associations. St Ledger Homes is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) created by Doncaster Council to transform the council properties in the city and surrounding areas.
The Eurocell Eurologik system, which has a 70mm front to back dimension, is ideal for refurbishment, where it can be used as a direct replacement for timber windows. The versatility of the system also makes it well suited to new build projects.
Eurocell has around 90 depots throughout the UK offering over 3,800+ essential building products. The company manufactures a majority of products itself, ensuring quicker turnaround of orders, greater reliability of delivery and consistent quality assurance.
