Roomline gets a makeover with three new designs
Our range of easy-fit skirting boards and architraves now offers more choice
The Roomline range of skirting boards and architraves, which take half the time to fit compared to conventional timber products, now includes three new designs: a 150mm ogee design plus a chamfered design in 100mm and 150mm.
These are available in two popular colours – White Satin and English Oak. Using Roomline cuts out the sanding, cutting and painting that timber skirting boards and architraves need – together with mitring joints at each corner.
Manufactured from recycled PVC-U for minimal environmental impact, Roomline products are robust, durable and look like traditional products but never need painting – just wipe them with a damp cloth to freshen them up.
Branch network reaches another milestone!
The Eurocell network of branches continues to grow, adding its 150th with the opening in July of the Basingstoke branch at the Houndmill Trade Park right by the Houndmill Roundabout.
Like all our new branches, it is handily located near the main roads – the A340 and the A339 – and next to other suppliers of building materials so you do not have to make a special journey. In this case, you can grab a snack too, as the branch is right next to a Greggs bakery and a Starbucks cafe.
The new branch will support those nearby, Camberley and Andover, and will be managed by Peter Pubanc, who has many years of experience in the industry. Richard Embeary, business development manager, will work alongside Peter to provide advice and expertise on bespoke products such as windows, composite doors, and roofing products such as Equinox and Skypod.
Modus is real game changer for self-builder
When self-builder Etienne Patterson decided to build his dream home he was faced with a bit of a dilemma, the main one being that he was actually building two homes – one for him and one for his parents. From the outset he was looking for windows and doors that would satisfy his desire for good looks and great energy performance but didn’t cost the earth. After much deliberation Etienne decided that the Modus range of windows and doors, would fit the bill nicely.
Each of the two two-storey homes in rural Hampshire is equipped with triple-glazed Modus Casement windows, French doors and residential doors finished with agate grey foil externally and white internally so every element looks as if it is timber but with the unrestricted sightlines of metal and the best-in-class performance of PVC-U. “Everything had to be cost effective to run and maintain – I don’t want to be climbing ladders to paint windows and soffits in 10 years’ time – and energy costs have to be low,” Etienne says.
Colour was another important consideration as Eurocell could supply all the doors and windows with an agate grey foil finish on the outside to complement the general ‘heritage’ look made fashionable by paint manufacturers such as Farrow & Ball – and back it with the company’s unique colour match guarantee – while the internal finish is white.

Recycling made simple
Ever wondered how green our PVC-U products are? We have made a short – less than three minutes – online animation that shows how our recycling stops around 500,000 window frames and doors going to landfill.
We call it ‘closed loop recycling’ which means we take out the old PVC-U windows and doors, remove all the PVC-U and can then make completely new doors and windows. You can see this film at: http://www.eurocell.co.uk/sustainability/closed-loop-recycling
Just click and enjoy.
