Eurocell expands horizons with Vista acquisition
Composite door manufacturer strengthens Eurocell offer to the trade
Eurocell has further enhanced its position as the UK’s leading manufacturer, distributor and recycler of window, door, conservatory and roofline products with the acquisition this month of Vista Panels.
Vista is a major manufacturer of composite and PVC-U entrance doors and has been at the forefront of growth in the composite doors market in the UK, with a strong presence in the social housing and private RMI sectors.
Keith Sadler, Managing Director of Vista Panels Ltd, said: “I’m delighted. We have forged a close working relationship with Eurocell over 10 years, so we feel like a member of the family already. For all of us at Vista it’s genuinely exciting to be part of a group with such a track record of success and clear roadmap for future growth.”
Patrick Bateman, Eurocell CEO, commented: “Keith and his team run a successful company. But it’s their energy, enthusiasm and progressiveness that makes Vista stand out. It’s logical, therefore, that we wanted them to join forces with us. Together we have a stronger proposition in markets strategically important to both businesses.”
Original game changers from Eurocell at FIT show 2016
This year’s FIT Show sees Eurocell focus on four of its most popular products and systems across two stands – one dedicated to our high-performance, high aesthetic window and door systems; and another for our popular Equinox tiled conservatory roofs and Skypod roof lanterns. Stand AT13 is hosting the undoubted star of the show in the form of the new Modus S, a mechanically jointed flush sash casement window, which combines modern materials with a truly traditional appearance.
This achievement is possible thanks to precision-engineered mouldings inside the frame which remove the need for the telltale diagonal corner welds – a characteristic giveaway of standard PVC-U windows. The joint detail adds considerable authenticity to the window and enables delivery of a product with the true look of timber, while retaining all the performance benefits of PVC-U. Furthermore, it is up to 25% less expensive than the nearest equivalent PVC-U flush sash product.
Head of Marketing, Chris Coxon, believes that Modus S will alter perceptions about PVC-U windows: “ Modus S is a real game changer for the sector. No other window looks as good, offers as much value or opportunity. It is a new benchmark. ”If you want to find out more before coming to the show just type in #originalgamechanger into your browser and see how the game has changed.
Two more branches open for business
Hot on the heels of the Alfreton branch relocatng and Wrexham opening, two new branches have opened their doors for business – one in Aldridge in the West Midlands and one at Hedge End, near Southampton Conveniently located on the newly built Rossway Business Park, the new Aldridge branch is just off the main A461 Lichfield Road that links nearby Brownhills and Walsall and is close to associated suppliers so that customers can collect all the materials they require in one trip.
“Aldridge is an affluent area with a strong regeneration market that we want to support,” says West Midlands Regional Manager Stuart Hayes. “The new branch will also strengthen the support of the neighbouring branches of Cannock, Wolverhampton and Sutton Coldfield, further expanding their coverage and the stock holding within the West Midlands region.”
The Hedge End branch is situated on Hamilton Business Park and is reached via Botley Road, a key arterial route between the retail, trade and industrial parks at Hedge End. Hamilton Business Park is approximately one mile from Junction 7 of the M27 and 4.5 miles from Southampton city centre. It will complement the existing branch at Southampton, just seven miles away.
“The two branches will be able to work together to provide an even better service for our customers, carrying more stock and operating more vans to deliver to sites throughout the area,” says Mike Suckley, Eurocell Area Manager. “We’re offering our customers the best of both worlds so they can deal with people who know their business and what they want but get their supplies delivered efficiently onto site, because this is a very mobile industry,” continues Suckley.
The Eurocell network in the area also includes branches at Portsmouth, Andover, Poole, Christchurch and Yeovil.
New composite fencing goes down a storm
It might have only been launched at the beginning of the year but our new composite fencing is getting rave reviews. One customer, in particular, was so pleased she felt moved to write to the company praising not only her new installation but also the great service she received from the Stockport branch. Sandra Torkington was full of plaudits for Eurocell staff member Nick, who ensured that Sandra ordered the correct amount of panels and that the installation was completed to the required standard.
She even went so far as to call the new composite product ‘the future of fencing’! Since its launch the range has been getting the thumbs up from users of social media who have clicked through to watch our teaser video. The clip is just six seconds long but that’s all it takes to see what a difference this eco-friendly composite fencing can make.
Click on http://www.eurocell.co.uk/homeowners/composite-fencing and you’ll see how this smart product can tidy up a garden. It’s light and swift to install too because all the components just slot together in minutes to provide the perfect weather-proof, maintenance free solution to fencing the garden – and it comes with an amazing 20-year guarantee against rotting.
Made out of Wood-Grain, a composite comprising 75% recycled material, composite fencing looks and feels like timber but cuts out all the hassle. Plus it has the durability of concrete without the weight and health and safety concerns.
And the Best Service Provider award goes to....
Eurocell has picked up one of the awards for supply excellence by a manufacturer at Barratt Homes' supplier conference with the award for Best Service Provider (Manufacturing).
Key elements were the work we have undertaken with Barratt developing the structural door outer frame using Cavalok and the structural Compac foam which is being rolled out nationally, 98.5% on time deliveries and installation by the fabricator base, as well as other work in assisting with innovative developments.
Well done to all involved and thanks to Barratt Homes.
