The newly launched UK Construction Week (6-8 October 2015) at the National Exhibition Centre near Birmingham is a great showcase for the industry. We’re using it to introduce two products that will offer fabricators and installers even greater choice – and even greater sales opportunities. Both combine modern materials and 21st century levels of performance with a traditional appearance.
Previewing the Modus mechanically jointed flush sash (available January) enables installers and fabricators to offer homeowners a window that has all the advantages and features of this state-of-the-art range but looks like a traditional timber equivalent. With this model there is no diagonal weld at the corner to show that it is fabricated from PVC-U.
Similarly, the Equinox solid tiled roof now comes with the new Slateskin tile that is indistinguishable from the traditional slate tile but lighter, easier to handle and far simpler to use and can be installed in up to half a day less than alternative tile systems.
Plus, visitors will also be able to view Aspect bi-fold doors and two models of the popular Skypod skylight on the stand.

All the market research shows that homeowners are looking to improve rather than move and one of the key products that can help transform the home is the Aspect bi-fold door. This is because one of the major trends in home improvements is to ‘to merge indoors with outdoors’.
