Advanced prototype modelling for rapid product development
We've invested in the sophisticated kit needed to develop the most advanced products on the market. Our rapid in-house prototype modelling machine, for example, can produce highly accurate scale models of PVC-U components in a couple of hours. It means we can trial new product ideas very quickly and cost effectively, before putting them into full-scale production. It also means we can develop bespoke products to meet the needs of specific customers or projects.
Recycled, energy-efficient products rise to sustainability challenge
One of the biggest challenges facing the construction sector today is sustainability – and meeting the carbon-reduction targets set by Government. To help you meet these tough targets we have developed a range of components that facilitate the fabrication of extremely energy-efficient windows and doors, using a high proportion of recycled PVC-U.
These components include PVC-U Thermal Inserts, Thermalogik multi-chambered profiles, Ecologik profiles with high recycled content and 100% recycled cavity closers. We have also developed a specification for the highest energy-rated window on the market – achieving an A+14 score in the Window Energy Rating scheme. In fact, because of our high-performance energy-efficient windows, Eurocell is now an exemplar partner of the BRE.
Major investment in PVC-U recycling
Eurocell has invested £2.5m in increasing the capacity of our own PVC-U recycling plant. We can now recycle 10,500 old PVC-U windows per week, creating more recycled material for reuse in new window and door profiles. To feed this expanded plant capacity we now offer a free waste collection and storage service to all our customers – so we'll pick up the old windows and doors you remove and store them ready for recycling at our plant.
Extending UPVC benefits into new product areas
Eurocell is constantly extending the range of products that can benefit from the properties of PVC-U. We recently launched Roomline, a PVC-U skirting board and architrave product that eliminates much of the cutting, mitring, sanding and painting associated with timber alternatives. Roomline has all the looks of timber, but with improved durability and ease of maintenance, as well as enabling much faster and consistently high quality installations.
