Eurocell, the UK’s leading manufacturer, recycler, and distributor of PVC-U building products, is expanding its waste PVC-U collection services through strategic partnerships with regional waste management firms and recycling specialists. By working with trusted industry partners, Eurocell is enhancing its commitment to sustainability, making it easier for businesses to recycle responsibly while supporting the circular economy.
Through these partnerships, Eurocell customers can now arrange for the collection and drop-off of waste PVC-U frames at designated sites across the UK. This service is designed to save businesses time and money by reducing the need for skips, eliminating trips to recycling centres, and providing a streamlined collection process directly from customer sites. Quote from Sandra Gaspar, Head of Recycling at Eurocell:
“As confidence returns to the construction and home improvement market, we anticipate a rise in old PVC-U building products being removed from properties. Now is the right time for organisations to review their recycling processes for PVC-U. Through our expanded collection services, we are making it easier than ever for businesses to recycle responsibly, helping them boost their sustainability credentials and align with industry best practices.”

A Leader in Sustainable PVC-U Recycling
Eurocell operates the UK’s largest PVC-U recycling network, with two dedicated facilities in Selby and Ilkeston. Through its closed-loop recycling system, Eurocell processes post-consumer and post-industrial PVC-U waste, converting it into reusable raw materials for manufacturing new products.
- In 2023 alone, Eurocell’s recycling efforts diverted the equivalent of approximately 3 million window frames from landfill.
- The company’s flagship Modus profiles are made with an average of 50% post-consumer recycled PVC-U.
- PVC-U is a highly durable material that can be recycled up to 10 times without compromising quality, with a potential lifespan of up to 200 years.
Eurocell’s investment in recycling aligns with broader environmental goals, including the UK government’s target to reduce direct emissions from public sector buildings by 50% by 2032 and to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. The company has already made significant progress, achieving 32% recycled PVC-U in extrusion in 2023, up from 27% in 2021.
Supporting Industry-Wide Recycling Efforts
Eurocell’s expanded collection service is part of a broader effort to drive responsible recycling across the construction supply chain. By collaborating with contracted partners and ensuring efficient waste management processes, the company enables businesses to meet growing consumer and regulatory demands for sustainable building materials.
Quote from Sandra Gaspar:
“This isn’t just a cause for one area of the market but a collective responsibility. From councils and construction companies to demolition businesses and waste management firms, we must all work together to ensure as much waste PVC-U as possible is diverted from landfill. Eurocell is well placed to support the industry in this mission by providing reliable, timely collections and helping businesses improve their sustainability credentials.”
With its expanding recycling services, Eurocell continues to lead the way in sustainable PVC-U manufacturing, demonstrating a firm commitment to reducing waste and supporting a more circular economy for the construction sector.
