Learning & Development Centre from eurocell on Vimeo.
At Eurocell, we want to make the working lives of tradespeople across the UK as simple as possible. To understand what is important to you, last year we conducted research to find out what key problems tradespeople working in construction face. Installers flagged a lack of product training in the top three issues they face and we have been working hard over the past few months to create a solution to this. This month, we opened our new Learning and Development Centre, based at our headquarters in Alfreton, to provide this much needed training and support for the fenestration industry. Our new L&D centre will allow us to upskill those working in the industry, as well as providing peace of mind to customers who will have the knowledge that their chosen installer is well-trained in all products and methods of installation.
The state-of-the-art facility will give tradespeople access to practical training and classroom-based support. Available to both fabricators and installers, the purpose-built classroom is fitted out with the latest technology to create an interactive learning experience and our Demonstration Zone has custom built rigs for dedicated installation training across the full Eurocell product range, including: Windows, French and Patio Doors, Bi-fold Doors, Skypod Lantern Roofs, Equinox Tiled Roofs, Coastline Cladding and Roofline.
We know that our customers are based across the UK and travelling is not always an option so we have also established 14 regional hubs to make training more accessible to the masses. For those businesses that have many installers, we can also offer courses at select customer locations meaning ongoing training has never been more accessible.
We asked our CEO, Mark Kelly, why he thought this investment into ongoing training was important. He said: “Continuous improvement is a concept that applies to training as well as every aspect of the Eurocell business. As a fast-growing company that is constantly evolving and innovating, it’s very important to provide our customers with the right training to help support their business.”
Our learning and development centre has also been championed by trade bodies. Chris Beedel, Director of Membership at FENSA said: “Industry led initiatives which champion continuous improvement in knowledge and understanding within the fenestration industry are always welcome. This in turn helps installers to develop their business and build industry confidence among homeowners.”
As well as offering training to installers and fabricators, we’ll also be extending the support to our own staff. This means that when you call customer service or visit a Eurocell trade counter, you’ll receive the highest level of support possible. There is even a fully fitted out mock branch to support teams with sales and merchandising training.
To support installers further, last year we launched our CERTASS, FENSA and ASSURE backed Select Installer Scheme which has allowed us to develop a trusted network of installers across the UK. The scheme allows Eurocell installers to access certified training to help tradespeople overcome what is often deemed a ‘cowboy image’ within the industry and provide customers with peace of mind when selecting an installer.
The free training is held at various locations across the UK and includes both practical installation auditing to industry quality standards and classroom sessions, covering health and safety, use of PPE, and window and door installation/uninstallation.
If you think you or your employees would benefit from ongoing training, drop us message!
