As technology advances, more and more of us seem to be glued to our phones on a regular basis. Whether we’re scrolling through Twitter or swiping right on Tinder, we all have a range of apps at our fingertips to keep us entertained throughout the day and into the evening.
Whilst apps for ordering pizza and checking your fantasy football team are fun, they don’t necessarily help your business. There are however other, more productive, apps available that can actually make your working life easier - rather than distracting you!
We’ve listed our top six business apps below. Whilst they may not help you find love, they can help you to grow your business – swings and roundabouts!
Google My Business
This app helps you to manage your online presence – you can update your business name, address and hours, manage and respond to customer reviews and get notifications when customers are talking about your business.
This app is great for making sure you get paid on time for jobs. It allows you to take payments on the go, track cash and cheque payments and issue invoices simply and securely on your mobile.
This is another brilliant app for managing your cashflow – allowing you to easily manage your business’ expenses, create invoices with invoice templates, and view your profit and loss.
Communication is less about the words we use and more about how we say them. A text message or an email can be easily misunderstood, causing problems. Whether you’re chasing a subcontractor or checking in on a project or with a customer, sometimes a video call is more suitable – you can make them for free on the Skype app.
Makita Mobile Tools
Forgot your spirit level on site? Not a problem! Makita’s app provides you with a spirit level at your fingertips. It also has a distance measurement tool and there’s a levelling instrument as well!
Every good business needs a good brand. If you don’t have the budget to hire a design agency, you can create your logos, icons, symbols and posters in just a few clicks with this app.
