Fascia and Soffit Colours: Ideas and Inspiration

10 June 2025

Natural Oak or contemporary Anthracite Grey? Everyone has their own preferences, so whether you want an accent of colour with your soffits and fascias, or you prefer them to blend in, Eurocell has more than 15 colour options to choose from.

First impressions matter and details like the colour of your soffits and fascias complete the look of your exterior.

Fascia board colours

Whether you have a modern home, cottage or period property, choose a fascia board colour that adds character to your home and improves kerb appeal. Eurocell’s uPVC fascias are available in smooth or woodgrain finishes and last for up to 30+ years, so opt for a colour that you’ll love for decades.

Grey

Grey is a contemporary colour in home design and it’s increased in popularity over the last 10 years. Neutral shades can blend in with your roof, while a deeper shade creates drama and impact.

  • Agate Grey: A light shade of grey (with an almost green hue) that reflects sunlight well
  • Balmoral Grey: Sleek shade that’s slightly deeper than agate but still light and reflective
  • Moondust Grey: A more modern and obvious shade of grey
  • Slate Grey: Deep grey perfect to create impact or blend in with black or grey roof tiles
  • Anthracite Grey: Almost black, Anthracite Grey can create contrast against natural brickwork or white exterior

Black

Dark and moody colours like black are trending in 2025 but deeper shades can overpower if over-used. That’s why installing a black fascia as an accent colour is a good way to go.

Eurocell’s black ash fascia has a natural woodgrain finish. It’s bold and can contrast perfectly with lighter colours like white or cream. It also goes well with a grey exterior, whether that’s concrete or painted, it can help create a real showstopper.

Brown

Brown is a classic fascia shade and looks natural, especially if you opt for a woodgrain finish. It’s particularly well-suited to traditional style houses, including cottages.

  • Golden Oak: Classic, deep shade of brown that can complement brickwork
  • Irish Oak: Slightly lighter than Golden Oak but still natural looking and contrasts nicely with light colours like cream or white
  • Rosewood: A deep shade of brown similar to coffee. It’s perfect for a moodier palette and creating impact

Cream and white

Light shades look clean and reflect the sunlight. White or cream fascias are suitable for many residential homes as it can match the exterior window cills and door. All Eurocell roofline products are colour-matched to our window profiles, so they will match Eurocell windows.

  • Cream: Nice and bright with a slight yellow tinge
  • Cream White: Perfect balance between cream and white and matches lots of colours such as grey, black or brown
  • White: Popular shade because it suits most homes

Green

You can add character with Chartwell Green fascias. It’s a soft shade of green ideal for homes surrounded by greenery, cottages, cabins or homes by the coast. It can blend in nicely with your surroundings and add a pop of colour.

Should fascia and soffit colours match?

There is no rule saying your fascias and soffits colours need to match but many homeowners choose to do so as it looks more cohesive. Introducing too many shades – especially if they’re in different colour families – can draw attention for the wrong reasons.

However, different shades can look clever and striking if they complement one another. For example, natural brown and a deeper shade of brown can create a subtle contrast, while white and light grey both suit modern homes.

You can also contrast your roof colour or exterior wall with your soffit and fascia shade if you want impact, and choose colour-matched accessories like trim to complete the look.

Fascias and soffits should match windows where possible as it looks more cohesive but again, it comes down to personal style.

Can you paint soffits and fascias?

Depending on the material, you can paint fascias and soffits. For example, untreated timber fascias can discolour and turn grey over time, so it’s essential you paint it regularly to maintain its appearance and stop water penetration.

Materials like uPVC don’t usually need painting as there is less chance of fading/discolouration. This can save you time and costs in the long run. If you want a change of colour, you can paint uPVC soffit and fascia boards but you’ll need to do so regularly and use a suitable exterior paint.

Tips to picking the best colour

When choosing a fascia and soffit colour, consider the architecture and surroundings. Step outside and look at your house to see what colour would suit it best.

Here’s some top tips:

  • Surroundings: If you're surrounded by greenery, brown or green fascias create a nature-inspired vibe
  • Streetview: Check out the colour of your neighbours’ soffits and fascias as you may want to blend in or stand out
  • Roof colour: Match your soffits and fascias to your roof or gutters as you may want to disguise these
  • Architecture: Cottages can look characterful with pops of colour like green, while period properties might suit deeper, moody shades like rosewood
