How to prepare for summer by improving your garden and outdoor space

Loading... 69 view(s)

When you think of warm, summer evenings, what do you imagine? Is it the sound of friends gathering in your garden around a barbecue and some drinks? Family spending precious time together? Or just the blissful relaxation of having a few moments’ peace to yourself?

Whatever makes for your perfect summer’s night, it’s time to get prepared by making the most out of your garden and outdoor space. We asked our expert team at Eurocell to give us their best ideas for turning your garden into a sanctuary perfectly designed for outdoor living. Here’s what they came up with:

1. Install decking to dine out on

Garden decking creates an elevated and elegant space to dine outside. Perfect for entertaining friends and family while enjoying the warm sunshine, our composite decking has been one of our most popular products for the last 10 years.

Unlike wooden decking, composite decking does not need varnishing and is not affected by weather. Environmentally friendly, it’s ideal for year-round use and comes with a 20-year guarantee. All it needs is a once-a-year clean with a hosepipe to keep it looking in perfect condition.

Choose from a range of different styles, including composite hollow decking and composite solid decking. Whatever look you’re aiming to achieve, we’ve got you covered. You’ll get a natural look that offers a classic style using modern materials.

And here’s our top tip before you install your decking: pay attention to the sun. Do you want the sun shining on your deck in the morning, afternoon, or evening? This can have a big impact on where best to position your decking.

2. Get fenced in

As much as we love the UK, there’s no getting away from the fact that our harsh winters can have a huge impact on garden fencing. Broken panels, moisture damage, warping and even holes in the wood can all help to make things look untidy – not to mention the reduced protection it offers against potential intruders.

Composite fencing is the easiest, quickest and safest way to protect your outdoor space. Modern and sleek in design, it is a durable, low maintenance alternative to wood.

Eurocell’s composite fencing comes in black or grey. These stylish options provide a striking finish to any modern garden and are installed using a simple tongue and groove fitting system, which enables additional adaptability.

An environmentally friendly option, composite fencing comes with a 20-year warranty and will not warp, rot, or splinter.

3. Build a place to escape

Complete your outdoor space with a luxury Kyube garden room, instantly maximising the potential of your property and providing much-needed extra space that’s ideal for work, rest, or play.

Personalised to different tastes, styles and requirements, a garden room can be made to measure for your exact requirements. Choose from timber or steel frames, each available in a range of different sizes and with double glazing, insulations, lighting and electrical options.

Installation can often be completed in less than four days, and the composite cladded exterior means the structure requires minimal ongoing maintenance.
