Can I use my Garden Room as an extension?

Our Garden Rooms aren’t designed to be extensions, they are standalone rooms positioned away from, and not physically connected to, your property. If you’d still like to talk to someone, our home team are available Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm and the call is free 0808 196 3840, we’ll do everything we can to help. Can I get plumbing to my garden room?

Yes, this is perfectly possible – but it will require the services of a trained and qualified plumber. You should also check on gov.uk to see if you need to meet building regulations approval. Please contact us on 0808 196 3840 if you want to install a kitchenette or toilet in your garden room.

What is the difference between composite and upvc doors?

The difference between composite doors and uPVC doors is based on how they are manufactured. uPVC doors are made purely with plastic. In contrast, composite doors are made from a combination of different materials. Glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) is one of the most long-lasting and durable material combinations. Eurocell uses GRP to manufacture its composite doors.

Are Eurocell uPVC doors guaranteed?

Yes, all uPVC doors from Eurocell come with at least a 10-year guarantee, giving you peace of mind about the durability and quality of your chosen door.

What decking is best?

Eurocell’s decking is a genuine market-leader. It is ethically sourced. Comes with a 20-year guarantee, and is easy to install with hidden fixings. It requires little maintenance. And its performance is long lasting, with no painting or staining required at any stage of its lifespan.

What is the difference between a pergola and gazebo?

A pergola is more versatile and flexible than a gazebo, because the panelled roof on a pergola is designed to let you enjoy any sunshine with partial shelter. In contrast, gazebos have a fixed, solid roof. The other main difference is where each can be built. Pergolas can be attached to the side of your house, or built as freestanding units somewhere in your garden. Gazebos are normally freestanding.

What is a contemporary conservatory?

Instead of using solid brick supports, a contemporary conservatory from Eurocell uses our exclusive pilaster system, modern highline cornices, and a stylish slimline roof. Does my conservatory have to be a certain size or shape to benefit from an Equinox tiled roof?

No. Equinox tiled roofs can be fitted onto all types of conservatories, including 5 Facet Victorian, P-shaped, Edwardian, 3 Facet Victorian, Gable-ended, Lean-to, and Double-Hipped Edwardian. Hipped or mono-pitched designs can be achieved easily, with lean-to pitches as low as 5° with our Slateskin roof tiles.

Do Equinox tiled roofs come with a guarantee?

Yes, all Equinox conservatory roof replacements are guaranteed for 10 years. Some of our tiles even have a 40-year warranty! So you can relax in your stunning new space, safe in the knowledge that you’ve invested in a precision-made product that’s built to last.

What is an orangery?

Many people find it difficult to distinguish between conservatories and orangeries, but there are some crucial differences. Orangeries are generally brick-based structures. Most of the walls are brick, although large windows allow plenty of light to come into the orangery. An orangery’s roof may also include a flat roof and a roof lantern, or it may simply be a full lantern roof.

Does a roof lantern add value to a property?

Almost certainly, yes. A roof lantern floods a property with one of the most valuable assets it can have: natural light. Both Luma and Skypod roof lanterns look spectacular. How quickly can a roof lantern be installed?

Both Luma and Skypod roof lanterns have been designed to make it as easy as possible for your installer to fit them into your conservatory roof. Once your roof lanterns have arrived on site, installation can normally be completed in a matter of days.

What is the difference between patio and French doors?

Dating back 400-500 years, French doors are normally identified by the way they open. French doors usually operate on hinges and open out from your house or conservatory towards your garden. In contrast, patio doors operate on a sliding mechanism and move from side to side.

Eurocell’s UPVC window frames are all designed to be easy to maintain. Simply wipe them down with a sponge and warm, soapy water whenever they are starting to look dirty. This simple procedure will ensure your UPVC window frames will look pristine for years to come.

Can UPVC windows be painted?

As a general rule of thumb, no. Painting UPVC windows is incredibly difficult and not recommended. In most cases, attempting to paint UPVC windows is likely to ruin their appearance. That’s why all of our UPVC windows are available in a range of attractive and eye-catching colours.

Can I get different coloured UPVC windows?

Yes, there are a range of contemporary and traditional colours for both styles of window frames we offer. Our composite and UPVC doors are available in those same colours and others, so you can either colour match your windows and doors or create contrasting colour styles.
