Will you need planning permission?

You typically don’t need planning permission to install a Garden Office because it’s classed as an outbuilding protected by Permitted Development Rights.

You do need to meet certain conditions – for example, it has to be single storey and not take up over 50% of your garden. And just be aware that if you’re planning to have regular clients come over, your local planning authority might require planning permission because it could be deemed as a business as opposed to Garden Office.
