Windows

What will happen to my old windows?
If they’re made from UPVC then they can be sent to a recycling facility where they are used to make new energy efficient products. Eurocell has its own UPVC recycling plant.
What size UPVC window sills can I buy?
Our sills come in three different options: 150mm A-type and end caps, 85mm A-type and end caps, and 180mm A-type and end caps.
Do you sell UPVC sill repair covers?
Yes. If you’re looking for a damaged sill replacement, our UPVC sill repair covers are perfect for making a quick repair of an existing sill. Using a sill repair cover avoids the need to remove and replace the existing sill, saving valuable time and money in the process. Shop online today.
Can I buy my Eurocell UPVC window sills online?
Yes. Shop online today and you can choose whether to collect from one of our nationwide branches or have your products delivered to your site.
How secure are Eurocell Home windows?
Very secure. All Eurocell Home opening windows have locking handles as standard and all our windows are internally beaded. This means the trims that hold the glass in place are on the inside of the window, so they can’t be easily removed from the outside, which would allow the glass to be taken out easily, giving fast access into a property. All Eurocell window systems are vigorously tested to the latest security standards, for your peace of mind...
What is the energy rating of Eurocell UPVC windows?
Unlike many of our competitors, at Eurocell Home we keep our window energy ratings very simple. All of the windows we supply are BFRC (British Fenestration Ratings Council) A-rated as standard. This is the highest rating double-glazed windows can currently achieve. Anything higher (such as A++ ratings) requires triple-glazing, which is much more expensive than double-glazing.
Can Eurocell Home UPVC windows match my existing style?
Yes, we offer the two frame styles that have traditionally been used in window-making for several decades and our windows are available in the most popular colours, so you can customise your new windows to your existing style.
Can I get different coloured UPVC windows?
Yes, there are a range of contemporary and traditional colours for both styles of window frames we offer. Our composite and UPVC doors are available in those same colours and others, so you can either colour match your windows and doors or create contrasting colour styles.
Do I need planning permission for UPVC windows?
Planning permission is not normally required for repairing, fitting or replacing doors and windows, unless you own a listed building. If you live in a conservation area (or other designated area) you should consult with your local planning authority. Visit: www.planningportal.gov.uk for more information. Our surveyors will go through all the required arrangements with you at the point of survey. If you have any questions before you buy, please get...
Will the UPVC window installer need access to my house?
Yes, they will need access to both the exterior and interior of your house to carry out window replacements. Our installers have been fully trained in working safely in our customer's home and will make the necessary arrangements with you. They always ensure that any mess is cleared away when the job is finished.
Will I need to remove window dressings like curtains and blinds?
Yes, you will need to remove these to allow the installer clear access to the windows.
Will I need to re-plaster my house after the windows are fitted?
Some minor plaster work may be required around the window reveals, although your installer will carry out this work.
Do Eurocell Home UPVC windows come with a guarantee?
Yes, all our products are guaranteed for up to 10 years.
How can I make sure my UPVC windows have adequate security features?
If you’re worried about your home being a potential target for burglars, then it’s definitely worth asking your window supplier if the company’s products are Secured by Design (SBD) accredited. SBD is an official UK Police initiative supporting the principles of 'designing out crime.' If your window supplier has this accreditation it means they are authorised to supply windows and doors with an optional Secured by Design endorsed upgrade that includes...
How do I clean UPVC window frames?
Eurocell’s UPVC window frames are all designed to be easy to maintain. Simply wipe them down with a sponge and warm, soapy water whenever they are starting to look dirty. This simple procedure will ensure your UPVC window frames will look pristine for years to come.
How can I tell if a window is energy efficient?
Look out for the British Fenestration Ratings Council (BFRC) Window Energy Label. This is similar to the one you may have seen on your fridge or washing machine. A-rated windows are the most efficient and are the best way of improving the energy efficiency of your home.
How long will it take to install my UPVC windows?
Exact time depends on the number and style of windows. But as a general rule, a whole house (8-10 windows) should be fitted in 1-2 days. Your window supplier should carry out a full survey before the new windows arrive and will therefore know the extent of work required. Carrying out the survey also means they will have manufactured all the replacement windows to the exact size needed to replace the old frames – again minimising time on site.
Will I need to move out while the UPVC windows are being installed?
No, you shouldn’t have to move out of your home while your new windows are being installed. Reputable installation companies will be able to complete the task quickly and efficiently. They normally complete one room before moving onto the next and will talk to you first to explain exactly what is involved.
Who will install Eurocell UPVC windows?
All our installers are approved Eurocell Home installers and are FENSA or Certas accredited which means they are independently assessed on a regular basis to ensure every installation is carried out to the highest standards. We currently have improved installers working in the North West and South of England. Outside of these areas please get in touch and we will be able to put you in touch with an experienced professional installer.
