Eurocell Alfreton Branch Awarded For Safety

7 September 2007

Eurocell Building Plastics Alfreton branch has recently been awarded a safety award by the British Safety Council.

The company, which is one of the country’s leading suppliers of roofline, window trims, conservatory roofs, doors and accessories, received the British Safety Council’s ‘International Safety Award’ after the depot demonstrated a safe working environment with reduced risks and an exceptionally low accident rate.

The International Safety Awards scheme is designed to recognise and reward companies that have achieved success in reducing accidents. The award therefore acknowledges Eurocell Building Plastics pursuit of excellence in the management of health and safety issues.

Allen Spencer, Safety Advisor at Eurocell Building Plastics, said, “Receiving this prestigious award is a fantastic achievement for the Alfreton depot and demonstrates the high standard that has been set. It is important that when everyone goes home after a day’s work, they go home with no injuries or ill effects as a result of their job. I would like to congratulate everyone at the depot as they have all worked hard as a team to earn this award.”

The British Safety Council is one of the world's leading occupational health, safety and environmental organisations. Founded in 1957, it now has over 10,000 member companies and its mission is to support a healthier, safer and more sustainable society.
