New Eurocell website is All together better
This month sees the launch of the new bigger, better Eurocell website, boasting a host of new customer support features. At over 1000 pages (6000 including webshops) and with no fewer than 140 PDF downloads and 24 promotional and installation videos, the new site is your essential resource for all things Eurocell.
The website has a wealth of new content, including buying guides for homeowners, a raft of new case studies and more details about Eurocell’s market-leading sustainability. Plus, it now incorporates the Cavalok and Modus websites, so all information is available in one place.
The Trade Customer login section hosts all the commonly-requested marketing and technical support documents, accessible 24/7 using your account number and password details. In the technical support section there’s product wallcharts, safety data sheets, product information bulletins and guides to the latest Building Regulations. The marketing support section includes Eurocell presentations, all our logos, brochure PDFs and an introduction to RightSite – our new customer website design and build service. A short video explains what RightSite is about and how the process works.
The new website is responsive design, so it automatically adapts to the device being viewed on, including mobiles, tablets and phablets. Being easily accessible on mobiles should prove a huge benefit to our installer customers, who can now look up their local branch, watch new product videos and place orders online - all from their smartphones.
New and improved Equinox makes debut
Eurocell designed. Eurocell manufactured. Eurocell distributed. That’s all-new Equinox, which is available to order now.
Our innovative tiled roof system is now faster and easier to install yet offers increased structural strength, thanks to a slicker roof structure design.
Other improvements to the new Equinox include:
1. Adjustable ridge rafter and hips enable different pitch angles to be formed, providing installers with greater flexibility on-site.
2. Built-in thermal breaks in the roof design ensure that there’s no condensation caused by cold-bridging, an issue known to affect some competitor products.
3. Purpose-designed components such as an aluminium high rise box gutter offer a more complete system, to make installers’ lives easier.
4. A dedicated internal structural support system removes any concerns over the specification of aged windows underneath Equinox roofs on existing conservatories, for customer peace of mind.
5. Customer choice is increased – there are now no fewer than 10 tile finishes on offer, complemented by eight Eurocell fascia board colours and four Marshall Tufflex guttering options, making the guttering consistent with our conventional conservatory roof products.
Not content with these improvements, we will soon see what’s arguably the biggest installer benefit of new Equinox; a unique GRP sheet tile system. Available in 4m and 6m lengths, the profiles offer similar looks to composite slate tiles, but can be fitted in less than half the time. This is a huge advantage as it allows installers to either improve your margins on each project or use the extra time to take on more jobs.
Equinox is now made by our Conservatory Roofs team based at our Alfreton facility, which provides greater control over distribution, quality and service, so you receive a better all-round experience.
The new Equinox tiled roof system was showcased to the public at Grand Designs Live exhibition between 2-10 May at ExCel in London. With over 100,000+ visitors, the show has helped Equinox get off to a flying start!
Skypod continues to forge ahead on the back of strong sales, with the addition of two new range options. Skypod SQ is a true equal four-sided design featuring just four hip rafters, offering great balanced aesthetics and more natural light. It also means that larger perfect square lantern roofs feature jack rafter bars that line up exactly – something not possible with original Skypod.
The system includes a unique spider casting and top and bottom caps. Like other Skypod variants, it offers a fixed pitch of 20 degrees and is supplied with self-cleaning, temperature-controlled glass, available in four colours as standard with a centre pane U-value of 1.0Wm2K achievable. Skypod SQ is supplied in kit and bar length form.
Complementing Skypod SQ is the option to specify Skypod without any side rafter bars. This offers a much sleeker, more contemporary appearance, with a larger uninterrupted glass area made possible. Achievable using the standard system, we expect no-side bars to be popular with homeowners seeking maximum natural light and minimalist aesthetics.
With these improvements and more in the pipeline, we’re confident that Skypod will continue to be a star product for all our customers.
New heavy duty transom and mullion reinforcement
We have introduced a 6m heavy duty transom / mullion reinforcement (Product code: EWS 7622S) as part of our commitment to ongoing range improvements.
The new reinforcement is around 25% stronger than its standard counterpart EWS 622S and is designed for improved wind-load performance on residential door and sidelight combinations.
EWS7622S can also be used in fixed light transoms and mullions in high wind-load areas.
Supplied individually and available now, the new reinforcement is compatible for use with the following profiles: EWS7022, EWS7023, LSF1022, LSF1023
New greener profiles
In what completes a bumper couple of months for product developments, we’re pleased to announce three new post co-extruded (PCE) profiles, all featuring post-consumer recycled PVC-U. The additions have been facilitated by sourcing more cutting edge DMET extruders, like those first purchased for Modus.
These arrivals make the Eurocell range amongst the most technologically advanced in the industry and reinforce our commitment to investing in plant and equipment. The new profiles are:
EWS7706 Large Ovolo Outer Frame
EWS031W5.3 (and Q) Large Composite Door Outer Frame
AC150PCW (and PCW6) New universal 150mm Cill, which supersedes both the AVV150 and AC150 options. The new product features a 100% virgin PVC-U top and inner face, so can be welded and cleaned without risk of any post-consumer recycled material being exposed.
All the above post-consumer recycled profiles carry a 10-year guarantee, just the same as our virgin product. As our DMET technology ensures that the recycled material is intelligently hidden inside the profiles, all of the new variants will be supplied to customer orders as stocks of existing products are exhausted.
New Harrogate branch offers customers a cup full
Our latest new branch has opened in Harrogate, home of world famous Betty’s Café Tea Rooms, taking the total across the UK to 134.
The branch is at Unit 16A, Hornbeam Park, a modern, easily accessible location on the south side of the town.
Harrogate will become one of the largest and most up to date of all of our branches with an extensive trade counter space and display area packed with new products.
“Our new Harrogate branch makes it even more convenient for customers to source high quality buildings plastics solutions,” said Fraser Watt, Eurocell Regional Manager – Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. “Before we invested in Harrogate, customers had to travel to our branches in Leeds or order online for next day delivery.
Customers in Harrogate can still order online or by telephone but now benefit from the added convenience of having a branch on their doorstep.”
The branch offers over 4000 high quality building plastics products with many of them available over the trade counter.
A large display area in the branch showcases an extensive range of products, such as our new, improved Equinox tiled roof system and Skypod Skylights.
We may not do tea as well as Betty’s in Harrogate but we think that there’s no one to touch us on building plastics in terms of range, value and service!
PLUS! Look out for our new branches opening next month in Rugby, Taunton and Tewkesbury.
