Have it made to order in just seven days!

In response to the growing demand from homeowners, house builders and specifiers for coloured PVC-U windows and doors we are now offering a seven working day turnaround for a wide range of foils on window profiles.

Customers can choose from 31 different colours and finishes for any window or door as a made to order item, secure in the knowledge that they won’t be subject to the traditional three to four week wait that usually accompanies made to order profiles.

The available palette, the most comprehensive in the industry, allows the homeowner or end-user the choice of regular favourites Rosewood and Golden Oak or, for those of a more contemporary mindset, soothing and stylish greys such as Anthracite, Slate, Kensington and Hazy Grey. Both Anthracite and Hazy Grey can be ordered with a woodgrain or smooth finish option.

Even those who are keen to be at the forefront of design and trends can select in vogue colours such as Light Ivory, Anteak and Chartwell Green or two shades of perennially cool black, Ebony and Black Ash.

Whichever of the colours and finishes fabricators order, we now have the capability to complete that order within seven working days. Even allowing for delivery of say one or two days, this is the quickest and most complete made to order service in the industry. Should a customer wish, they can collect their order from us after seven working days.

New Commercial Business Development Team for Building Plastics

The creation of a new team dedicated to servicing the building plastics side of the business is good news for customers. Headed up by Senior Commercial Business Development Managers, Tina Willis and Stuart Terry, and supported by Stuart Poole and Colin Allan, the team is focused very much on delivering solutions for commercial clients.

According to Tina the rationale for creating this business unit is clear: “We believe that there is a huge, and as yet untapped market, for Eurocell products, in the commercial arena. By bringing our expertise and understanding of what customers are looking for into one team, we can better serve them.”

It is an approach that, the team believes, will be bolstered by its experience, industry knowledge and service levels. “It is not simply a question of having the right products more a question of demonstrating that we understand the issues they face and providing solutions to those challenges. It’s all about providing clarity for the customer by simplifying often complex processes. Customers want the right products delivered to site on the right day. In order to achieve that we take care of everything from specification to supply chain.” explains Stuart.

The team will be actively liaising with organisations such as Local Authorities, Social Housing providers, Housing Associations, Property Maintenance companies as well as private sector businesses including Housebuilders and Timber Frame specialists.

Currently the big demand is for Roofline but the aspiration is that more and more products can be specified through the new team. “The fact is that our customers have access to a fantastic range of Eurocell products with a network that can deliver those products. There is no reason why we cannot widen the scope of what we sell to our customers. As part of our engagement process we will be working hard to show our value so we will be introducing services such as CPDs that will showcase what Eurocell can offer.” Tina concludes.

Barratt rewards our efforts in School

As part of our relationship with leading house builder Barratt, Eurocell was asked to enrol in the Supply Chain Sustainability School and to attain Bronze status prior to the end of 2017. So it’s great news and a great achievement that the company has recently been awarded Siver status for its efforts.

The School is backed and funded by the UK's top house builders, contractors and clients and was founded to help the supply chain meet the challenging targets set out by UK Government with regards to house building; delivering one million new homes by 2020 and doing so with improved levels of efficiency, quality and sustainability.

As part of its remit it provides practical support in the form of CPD accredited e-learning modules and training workshops, tailored self-assessments and action plans, bench-marking tools, networking opportunities and access to thousands of online resources linked to 10 key sustainability issues.

Richard Taylor, Technical Sales Manager, explains further: “Barratt was the first customer to ask us to become a member of the School and attaining Silver status is quite a feather in our cap. However, in order to maintain that status we need to keep working on the online modules and learning about the key issues that the industry faces. Topics are varied and include such things as sustainable procurement, waste, water, biodiversity and supply chain diagnostics.”

“Without doubt membership and involvement in the scheme has provided some significant benefits. Business-wise it has helped us become more competitive, more focused on supply chain issues and prompted both cost and time savings.” he adds.

There are three levels of recognition for member companies – Bronze, Silver and Gold – and participants can monitor their progress at any point while also benchmarking themselves against other members. From an initial 10-point personalised action plan, companies can measure their progress and update the action plan to demonstrate continuous improvement to clients.

SELECT is designed to give its members a competitive edge and boost business, partly by addressing homeowners’ fears about product and workmanship quality, encouraging them to engage approved companies to carry out work.

Built upon the company’s popular Equinox solid conservatory roof range, SELECT is being operated in partnership with certification body, CERTASS, and is the first independently audited and accredited scheme for solid roof installations.

The scheme features a two-year workmanship (installation) warranty that includes an insurance-backed guarantee (IBG), a free to use alternative dispute resolution service (ADR) and a comprehensive marketing support package.

Entrance to the scheme includes typical ‘professionalism criteria’, such as meeting the terms set out in the CERTASS competent persons and quality assured installer schemes; and surveying for, and installing, Equinox, in compliance with Eurocell specifications. This latter element will be audited by CERTASS too.

Head of Marketing, Chris Coxon, believes SELECT will prove attractive for both the trade and the consumer. “Traditionally finding suppliers for home improvements has always been a headache for homeowners. Concerns over reliability, quality of work and cowboys all add to the stress. SELECT will give them greater confidence in their choice. For the participating installer the scheme provides a competitive edge over rivals and, crucially, more sales and profit opportunities. For example, last year we referred over 2000 leads to our Equinox installers and for SELECT we are targeting £100,000 investment in lead generation.”

He continues: “The conservatory market has changed. Once homeowners were prepared to invest five figure sums in a garden room for occasional use. Now they want to maximise their plots with a room they can use 24/7, 365 days a year. The result? A burgeoning conservatory roof replacement market. With around four million conservatories already covering Britain, this means plenty of opportunity for SELECT members.”
